The Morgan Horse is one of America’s most treasured legacies, developed from a single stallion over 200 years ago in the beautiful New England countryside. The breed is especially known for its love of people—a Morgan Horse will bond with its owner or handler and will give 110% of whatever is asked.
Frequently referred to as “The Artist’s Horse” for their glamorous curves and style, this is a horse that is beautiful whether it’s standing in a field or dressed up for the show ring. With an upheaded frame and a naturally animated way of going, they are versatile and hearty, frequently staying sound and working into their later years. This breed is found worldwide and enjoyed by horsemen of all walks of life.
At Salem Farm, we’ve been admiring, breeding, training, showing and marketing Morgan Horses for over 40 years. Our World Championship titles number in the dozens and we enjoy competing in many different disciplines, from In Hand to English Pleasure, Park Saddle and Harness, to Roadster to Bike.
